For Instructors

Have a course you would like to place online? Want to expand your student base or take your department’s training online? We are open to hosting all courses to better serve the international public safety community.

NOTE: Departments and organizations that want to do expansive online training for their department, please contact us, so that we can set up a section on the platform for you to send your people.

Here is how it works:

  1. Decide on your subject
  2. Submit your course information
  3. Create your course
  4. Promote your course

Decide on your subject

The first step is to decide on your subject.  Take a look at the categories we have available in the section Available Courses.  Determine where your course fits best.  Do not worry about being locked in to one category. If you want to develop other courses that fit into other categories, no problem.

Create your course

Prior to beginning the set up for your course, we recommend you review the Orientation Modules. While we have staff to assist, going through these first, will save you a lot of work and a lot of headaches. It is highly recommended. Now it is time to get into the nuts and bolts. Setting up your class can be fun and challenging. However, hard work on the front end will save you a lot of headaches down the road. Planning is key. You can utilize most any type of media, document, or presentation item. We also provide you a number of resources to use in your classroom to help. Once you have your class set up, contact the Academy Director for your course and they will finalize and list it in our catalog.

Promote your course

Once you have completed all set up and your course is live. Promote your class through your website, your department or academy, or anywhere you see fit. The key here to begin generating interest in your class. Social media outlets, such as Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, and others, are very helpful.
